Inter Scientific holds a
Controlled Drugs (CD) licence, issued by the UK Home Office, for the handling and storage of cannabinoids to support our clients testing needs. Such licenses are required where any product may contain concentrations of cannabinoids which require consideration under the UK drugs legislation.

CBD Vape Products
CBD vape is fast becoming a significant part of the overall vape market. Unlike nicotine vape products, CBD vape does not contain nicotine and typically neither glycerol nor propylene glycol, but rather terpenes which are used as both excipients and natural flavourings.
CBD vape products operate on the same principle as other vape products, relying on the heating of a liquid solution to create an aerosol which the consumer inhales. Inter Scientific is at the forefront of CBD vape product testing and offers a full suite of testing to support both R&D and also product registration and QC/release testing.

CBD Pouches
CBD pouches are small pouches which are placed under the consumers lip, containing CBD and flavourings. CBD pouches have gained popularity in recent years as the nicotine pouch market innovated improved solutions for consumers seeking to consume CBD. Unlike other cannabinoids, CBD is not psychoactive and is not subject to European drugs regulations, however its related cannabinoids often are. Testing to ensure products are within legally permitted levels is an essential part of company compliance and diligence.
