FEELM Max Samples Test Report
Jul 13, 2023

On June 27th, 2023, Inter Scientific completed the product testing for FEELM Max, which encompassed crucial aspects including puff count, puff count consistency, e-liquid volume, and nicotine concentration.

Upon using five samples and passing the tests, Inter Scientific proved that FEELM Max delivers a steady puff count ranging between 880 to 920 puffs, demonstrating excellent puff count consistency. This performance was achieved while remaining compliant with the 2.0 mL e-liquid limit, which has been confirmed by Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), as stipulated under the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) and Tobacco and Related Products Regulations (TRPR 2016).

Test Results and Methodology

Puff count:

The puffs achievable from a device before it runs out of e-liquid, battery power or both.

The test employs a multi-port puffing engine, several attributes were taken into consideration: a puff volume of 26mL, a puff duration of 1 second, an inter-puff duration of 29 seconds, a square wave puff shape, and a flow rate of 1.56L/minute.

Test reports have been shared with the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and CTSI (The Chartered Trading Standards Institute) who have not raised any objections on testing methodology.

Puff consistency:

The uniformity and reliability of the vaping experience across all puffs.

The total aerosolized mass of e-liquid shall be determined through summation of the total aerosolized mass generated across all blocks, including the final block. Each block comprised 40 inhalations.

Consistency of aerosolized mass is highly consistent with measured values. Across the sample data, the minimum aerosol per inhalation was measured at 1.9mg with 2.3mg measured as the maximum inhalation mass.

E-liquid volume:

The amount of e-liquid used in vapour products.

The method involves determining the weight of the device before and after extraction and using the density measured from the e-liquid extracted. Tobacco and Related Products Regulations (2016) restricts e-cigarette tanks to a capacity of no more than 2mL.

The test measured fill volume is 2.0mL and measured density is 1.1183g/cc.

Nicotine concentration:

The amount of nicotine present in the e-liquid, Tobacco and Related Products Regulations (2016) restrict e-liquids to a nicotine strength of no more than 20mg/mL.

Measured using a fully validated and accredited test method TM 11.11.1 and calculated is 17.76mg/mL, and measured nicotine is 15.880mg/g.
